~

Grew up in a family salon from a young age and started off my career doing hair in the 1970’s at Sassoon’s in Athlone. Moved on to Johannesburg to further my career and qualify for my trade test.

I always had a passion for hairdressing, loved meeting new people and building close relationships. Having owned my own salon in Johannesburg for 30 years has given me the years of experience and knowledge I have passed on to my daughter Aneesa.

In 2000 I decided to test the waters in Cape Town and went on to work at Partners Hair Design for 2 years. I had the privilege to study the Toni and Guy technique which inspired me by their philosophy of pushing the boundaries of hairdressing and delivering creativity, quality, and consistency to every client.

Opening Vogue Hair Design in 2009 was a challenge and took a long time for clients to build trust in the way I do hair but has got me to where we are now and has been a special journey. Being a qualified hairdresser never stopped just there. I Traveled to London in 2010 to do the Vidal Sassoon course. I now have an eye for detail and believe in educating myself and my staff to keep up to date and informed. Keeps myself grounded in producing a high-quality service.
